Description
A streamlined, spare-looking chandelier, made by the Riddle company. Riddle made quality lights in the early part of the 20th century, and you’ll see that throughout this piece. There’s the five hand-hammered sweeping arms and the delicate original finish, done in silver with very light touches of red and blue, and an extremely ornate center finial. This piece does have its share of issues, though. One is a wonky arm, which has an odd angle to it and makes the candlestick a bit cockeyed and about an inch taller than the others. Second is paint loss in some areas. Before buying, examine photos closely and make sure you can live with these issues. The Centralia Riddle is 20 inches wide and has a drop of 26 inches. It has new sockets, new wiring and is ready to hang.
