If you have fond memories of the old Frederick and Nelson department stores, than this floor lamp might be for you! Along with a very snappy design, it’s impressed on its glass shade holder, Frederick & Nelson. Could this have been a light they used in displays, or a branded light Frederick and Nelson sold in its stores? Part of the fun is imaging the possibilities!
The Frederick and Nelson floor lamp has a bright brass finish, a three-way center light with mogul base, and an 8-foot-long cord. Other amenities are a cross-hatched shade in good condition, bullet-style candle holders, and a spiraling raised edge along its center stem. It took a long time to get this old girl’s finish looking good, but be aware, it’s not perfect. There are bits of finish loss in areas, and the plastic collar at the base of the lamp has disfigured over time. For safety reasons, the light at the base has been disabled.
