Description
A pair of incredible and rare–for their color–shades. One shade is marked “Gillinder Pat Feb 10.” The markings on the other shade are too faded to read but we assume these are a matched pair. These shades are a wonderful velvety chocolate brown, and we’ve included several pictures to show how their color changes depending on the light. Considering their age, these shades are in solid shape. One shade has a couple of minor chips on the bottom, and the other has one minute chip on its surface. The fitters are in good condition, and like all items this age, there are minor surface imperfections. Measurements are 4 and 3/4 inches tall, about 4 and 3/4 inches wide, with a 2 and 1/4 inch fitter. Gillinder Glass was established in 1861 in Port Jervis, New York, and specialized in pressed and custom-molded clear and colored glass products. These Gillinder shades are truly unique and an opportunity that shouldn’t be missed!
