Description
The Scallopini is a rare find: a light we’ve been able to keep in almost all original condition. No mean feat when you’re closing in on 100 years old! She features her original paint in a mellow gold tone, and a frosted, ribbed shade in very good condition. Her ceiling cap has a nice impressed pattern and then there’s that big, boisterous acorn that supports the shade. The Scallopini would look great in an entry way, a hallway or a bedroom! She’s been rewired and a new cardboard insulator has been added. She is about 10 inches wide, with a drop of about 22 inches. Be aware that the original condition we’ve kept this light in does mean there are a few imperfections: minor paint loss and scratching, and a chip on the bottom of the shade that can’t been seen once it’s hung. Also, the shade looks like parts of it were originally airbrushed in gold, and this has faded significantly. Still, this is a wonderful light that someone cared enough about to keep in good condition. Hopefully, she can find another such a considerate caretaker for her next century!
