Description
It’s easy to see why we named this light the Whale’s Tail when you get a look at its underside, which resembles a whale’s flukes. This antique came to us in extremely rough shape, so we decided to have some fun in its restoration, adding a blue finish to represent the sea that provides the home for these watery behemoths. Compact, but rather heavy, this chandelier has a drop of about 21 inches and is about 17 inches wide. In addition to the interesting underside, the Whale’s Tail has an ornate center finial and a nicely figured ceiling cap and socket heads. Touch-up paint will be provided to restore any finish lost during installation. With its more contemporary color scheme, the Whale’s Tail could provide that extra splash to a modern decor.
